Allysen Hooks
Lead Instructor
Allysen, a Texas native, pursued a career in dance, earning a BFA from Juilliard and an MFA from Sarah Lawrence College. With 17 years of professional dancing in NYC, she returned to Texas, where she's practiced Pilates for 18 years and taught for 10. Beyond teaching, Allysen enjoys biking, cooking, thrift shopping, and founding a contemporary dance company in Austin.
Her music tastes span genres, blending vibrant beats and intimate sounds in class. Allysen finds Pilates essential for dance, aiding in recovery and strength, appreciating its elegance and empowerment.
βThe people I get to teach are what I love most about Peach House. Connecting with clients personally, whether it be someone brand new or someone I see every day, is what fuels me. I love to challenge clients to push beyond what they thought they could do (safely of course!), and to encourage a deep sense of whole in being and body.β
At Peach House, Allysen favors teaching mat classes, infusing them with dance-like flow. She values connecting with clients, safely challenging them, and promoting holistic well-being.
